What If we had a Wonder Drug.

April 10th, 2005 by Nrub

OK, so earlier today I was talking with my good friend, and She said to me that she wants to die at seventy. She doesn’t want to ever be hooked up to any tubes and would rather just die. Then I asked her, if there was some kind of amazing drug that kept you alive for 150 years would she do it. Of course then she said no. So I wonder now, if some invention was actually made to combat age and natural death severely, would people actually do it. My friends point in wanting to die firmly at seventy is that she would be well beyond the prime of her life, and just be some boring old person. I am young as well but maybe that is what is making her think that, because I think there is still life at those ages, I personally wouldn’t mind living just a bit longer, as long as I am still mobile and active. I would do it at least to see what would go on and happen. What kind of new technology there would be, and what kind of new politics would be occurring. I think it would be something worth trying to stick around for. Is my friend the only one who just wants to have it over with at seventy, or is that more of a normal thing, how many people would actually use an amazing wonder drug like that?

I am so disappointed

April 10th, 2005 by Nrub

So sometime soon the new movie based on my favorite book of all time, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, will be coming out. Now I know that movies based on books are never as good as the book ever is usually, and I have come to accept the fact that this movie probably won’t be as good as the book, but I still figured that it would be at least somewhat good. Now after reading this review from MJ Simpson on the movie, I am disappointed. It seems the movie is horrible at even remotely portraying what it is that made the book so good in the first place. Though I still plan to see the movie, I don’t know if I will like it one bit, just because I have read the book, and I know I will be annoyed at the omission of many very important and funny parts. What a sad day.

An update to a problem some of you might have

April 10th, 2005 by Nrub

WordPress is an absolutely beautiful program, and I love it, but it does seem to have its problems. I don’t blame it, I mean every software has at least one bug. Anyways I know at least one of you have been getting this error. Where when you try to leave a comment, an error screen will come up saying

Error: This file cannot be used on its own.
Well it seems that this has to do with the way WordPress handle’s the referer header’s and also how either your browser, or firewall/anti-virus software interferes with them. Most often your browser won’t be messing them up, and if it is you probably were the one who set it that way in the settings. So if you are getting that error, then currently when you post a comment you will need to briefly disable your firewall while you click the submit button for comments. This is not a very good solution, but after scouring the WordPress.org forums looking for an answer and I can’t seem to find any better solution. I will fix it and inform you once I find a permanent way to fix it.

Tom is taking over the world.

April 9th, 2005 by jeff

After watching the Matrix today, I suddenly realized that MySpace.com is a breeding grown for a digital revolution. In the matrix man creates Robot, Man then abuses Robot and Robot wins. On the other hand, Myspace.com was created by ONE person named TOM, and now with 8 million in counting victims, will Tom accomplish his goal?

I leave you with a question you will ask your self foreverrrrrrr………….

I just realized just how bad my site renders sometimes on Internet Explorer. I didn’t mean to do this, if you are using IE and think my site design sucks, it is because it renders best on Mozilla Firefox. I would suggest firefox, because it is thousands of times better than IE is now, but for those who don’t want to change it right now, thats alright I will work on my design so it looks nicer.

A look into my life

April 7th, 2005 by Nrub

I am about 30% to 40% sure that I can see my car. Thank you google maps, I always thought it would be the government letting people spy on me so easily like that.

Update: I spoke a few minutes too early, Defective Yeti shows just how much they really are spying.
